Job Summary
Assess each patient's needs individually and collect relevant data, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels, according to the facility's prescribed procedure. Perform physician-prescribed treatments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians, acting as an advocate for the patient. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients for those suffering from serious conditions like diabetes, renal failure, or sepsis. This 4x12 day shift role involves treating patients with multi-system organ failure in the Intermediate Care Unit.
