Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse (Travel) will provide comprehensive critical care in the ICU for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL, including assessment and monitoring of critically ill patients, administering complex medications, operating advanced life-support equipment, ensuring patient safety, documenting interventions, performing hemodynamic monitoring, educating patients and families, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity setting. Requires strong critical care skills, clinical judgment, excellent communication, infection control adherence, and commitment to patient safety and regulatory standards. Essential duties include recognizing condition changes, managing life-support modalities, timely medical record documentation, ensuring safety and comfort, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Skills include critical thinking, interpersonal communication, English proficiency, and the ability to perform procedures and use department equipment in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent ICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
