Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. Administer complex medications and treatments, operate advanced life support equipment, and perform hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines and central venous pressure. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record while ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment and recovery expectations. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize care. Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education and training.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Ability to remain in a stationary position
