Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. Administer complex medications and treatments, operate advanced life support equipment, and perform hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines and central venous pressure. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records while adhering to infection control protocols and quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care and provide education to patients and families regarding treatments and recovery expectations. Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
