Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive critical care in the ICU, including assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, documenting care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include recognizing changes in patient condition, administering complex medications, managing hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, CVP, pulmonary arterial catheters), ensuring patient safety and comfort in high-acuity settings, educating patients and families about ICU care, and upholding infection control and regulatory standards. Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical judgment are required, with ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of patient safety in a critical care environment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent ICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
