Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse in a 13-week travel assignment provides comprehensive critical care to ICU patients, including assessing and monitoring critically ill individuals, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role requires strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to patient safety in high-acuity settings. Responsibilities include documenting assessments and interventions, managing hemodynamic monitoring, educating patients and families, maintaining infection control, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Strong reading, writing, and English communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent ICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Preferred: CCRN certification
- Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS certification
