Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive critical care in the ICU, including assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, administering complex medications and treatments, operating advanced life-support equipment, and ensuring patient safety in high-acuity environments. Responsibilities include documenting assessments and interventions, interpreting hemodynamic measurements (arterial lines, CVP, pulmonary artery catheters), educating patients and families, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining infection control, engaging in quality improvement initiatives, and adhering to regulatory standards. Requires strong critical care skills, clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work within a dedicated clinical team on a 13-week travel assignment.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent ICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
Desired Qualifications
- CCRN certification
- TNCC
- NIHSS certification
- Other certifications may be required for this position
