Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. Administer complex medications and treatments, operate life-support equipment, and perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines and central venous pressure. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in medical records while maintaining infection control protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care and provide education to patients and families regarding treatments and recovery expectations. Complete 13-week travel assignment in Saint Joseph, Missouri with one year of recent ICU experience and valid BLS/ACLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
