Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques. Operate and manage advanced life support equipment while performing and interpreting advanced hemodynamic monitoring. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record to ensure continuity of care. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reduce risks. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp

- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers

- Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail

Desired Qualifications
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
- TNCC certification
- NIHSS certification
