Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to subtle changes in patient condition. Administer complex medications and treatments in accordance with approved critical care nursing techniques. Operate and manage advanced life support equipment while performing and interpreting advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines and central venous pressure. Record significant conditions, reactions, and interventions, notifying the appropriate provider of changes in patient status. Provide education to patients and families regarding the ICU environment, treatments, and recovery expectations. Adhere to strict infection control protocols to protect immunocompromised patients and reduce risks.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
