Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment and administering complex medications per approved critical care techniques. Perform and interpret advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines and central venous pressure, while accurately documenting all interventions to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes, provide education to families regarding recovery expectations, and adhere to strict infection control protocols. Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing education and training. This 13-week travel assignment in Sterling, Illinois, offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits for a nurse with one year of recent ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
