Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff performance. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges; round with patients and families to support a positive experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance. Monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness while addressing patient care concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, one year acute care experience, and one to two years supervisory experience in an ICU setting. Available for days and nights shifts in Lewiston, Maine, for a 12-week assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
