Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned days and nights shifts. Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff performance and development. Assist with performance management and HR-related activities, monitor supplies and equipment readiness, and coordinate patient care including admissions, transfers, and discharges. Address patient care concerns by escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command, round with patients and families to support a positive experience, and provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes. Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
