Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise and mentor staff performance while assisting with HR activities and monitoring unit readiness. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to support care quality. Address patient concerns and escalate issues through the chain of command, providing direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and regulatory compliance. This 12-week travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine, offers days and nights shifts with a base rate of $41.44–$57.43 per hour plus a $3/hour differential. Candidates must hold a current RN license and prior supervisory experience in an acute care or ICU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
