Job Summary

Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, mentoring, and supporting staff performance. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to support a positive experience. Monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes. Assist with performance management and HR-related activities. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, one year acute care experience with E.D. setting, and one to two years of supervisory experience in acute care or ICU. Available for 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine, with days and nights shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
  • Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
