Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise, mentor, and support staff performance while assisting with HR activities and monitoring unit readiness. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to ensure safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance. Address patient concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, one year acute care nursing experience, and one to two years of supervisory experience in an ICU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
