Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise and mentor team performance while assisting with HR activities, ensuring unit readiness and regulatory compliance. Coordinate patient care flows for admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to support their experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus one year of acute care nursing experience and one to two years of supervisory experience in an ICU setting. Available for 12-week assignments in Lewiston, Maine, with days and nights shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
