Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise and mentor staff performance while assisting with HR activities, monitoring supplies, and ensuring unit readiness. Coordinate patient care for admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to support care quality. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and regulatory compliance, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus one year of acute care experience with prior supervisory background. Available for 12-week days or nights shifts at an award-winning hospital partner.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
