Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise and mentor staff performance while assisting with HR activities, and monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges; round with patients and families to support a positive experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and ensure regulatory compliance. Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command. This 12-week assignment offers days and nights shifts at an award-winning hospital partner with a dedicated $3/hour differential.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
