Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising and mentoring team performance. Coordinate patient care, admissions, transfers, and discharges, rounding with patients and families to support a positive experience. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and quality outcomes, ensuring regulatory compliance. Monitor supplies, equipment, and unit readiness, addressing patient care concerns and escalating issues through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, and ACLS, plus one year of acute care nursing experience with one to two years in a supervisory role. Available for 12-week assignments in Lewiston, Maine, with days and nights shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
