Job Summary
Oversee ICU operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, managing staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervise and mentor team performance while assisting with HR activities and monitoring unit readiness. Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges; round with patients and families to support care quality. Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing and ensure regulatory compliance. Address patient concerns and escalate issues through the appropriate chain of command. Requires current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus one year acute care experience and one to two years of ICU supervisory experience. Available for days or nights shifts in Lewiston, Maine, with a 12-week assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital, ICU setting, required
