Job Summary
Travel I&E Tech I, II, III - Nuclear position requires performing calibration, maintenance and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation and control systems in a nuclear power plant setting. Duties include reading and interpreting basic I&C and electrical drawings/work orders/plans, performing calibration and maintenance, ensuring quality and safety, and communicating progress. Development of proficiency with calibration equipment and specialty tooling is expected, along with familiarity with software packages such as Maximo, CAS, Tags Pro, eSOMs, Nantel, and other tools necessary for Nuclear, Regulated, and Renewable Energy tasks. Must obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access and a DOT medical card. Travel up to 100% is required. Based at the McGuire Office Complex in Huntersville, NC, with field mobility and occasional onsite work at power stations. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and working in challenging environments. Employee must live within a reasonable daily commute to assigned work location. The role falls under the Specialty Services Group (Breaker/Switchgear, Generator Breaker, and Instrumentation-Control-Electrical teams) and requires a valid driver’s license and successful completion of MASS.”,
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant work experience
- One year closely related experience on electronic equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical/instrumentation equipment
- Experience reading electrical diagrams, schematics, and one-line drawings
- Experience utilizing electrical/instrumentation test equipment
- Currently have Nuclear Access
- Must successfully complete EEI's Power Plant Maintenance Selection System (MASS)
- Obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear access
- Valid Driver’s License
- Relocation not specified as required
