Job Summary

Supervise nursing staff during shifts to ensure efficient patient care, adherence to policies, and optimal patient flow. Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while adjusting staffing levels based on acuity and census. Respond to emergencies, provide leadership during critical situations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address operational needs. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families to resolve conflicts and participate in quality assurance initiatives. Utilize electronic health records for documentation and lead emergency preparedness efforts. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as an RN House Supervisor
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push
  • Must be able to pull
  • Must be able to bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
  • Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp
  • Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
  • Must have the ability to push/pull
  • Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
  • Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
  • Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
  • Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity
  • Must be able to effectively communicate
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in PC skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Current ACLS (AHA/ARC)
  • Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC
  • Current NRP Certification
  • Current NIHSS Certification
  • Current CPI Certification
  • Current TNCC Certifications
