Job Summary
Supervise nursing staff during shifts to ensure efficient patient care, adherence to policies, and optimal patient flow through admission, transfer, and discharge coordination. Monitor census and adjust staffing levels based on patient acuity, while responding to emergencies and providing leadership during critical situations. Collaborate with department leaders to address operational needs, participate in quality assurance initiatives, and lead emergency preparedness efforts. Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families to resolve conflicts professionally. Utilize electronic health records for documentation and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an RN House Supervisor
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
