Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues while conducting inspections to ensure safety and compliance standards. Accurately document repairs and complete work orders, maintaining a clean work area and following all safety procedures. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations, with non-travel weeks spent building Mobile Service Center trucks. This role involves up to 100% travel time, requiring flexibility for short-notice schedule changes and weekend travel. Candidates must have five or more years of hands-on diesel experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role
- Diesel and Automotive Experience
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and working in fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environments

- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Ability to access tight spaces
