Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments per protocols while monitoring vital signs to address deviations. Respond to life-saving situations using emergency nursing standards and document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists to ensure comprehensive care. Prepare equipment for emergency treatments and explain procedures to patients and families. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
