Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on condition severity. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, administer prescribed medications per protocols, and prepare equipment for physician treatments. Monitor vital signs, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and respond to life-saving situations using emergency nursing standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout the emergency department while adhering to infection control guidelines and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
