Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritize care based on severity, and administer prescribed medications per emergency protocols. Explain procedures to patients and families, monitor vital signs to address deviations, and document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Respond to life-saving situations, prepare equipment for physicians, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including specialists and social workers. Maintain patient safety, adhere to infection control guidelines, and perform other assigned duties within scope of practice. This 13-week travel assignment in Baltimore requires recent ER experience, valid RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

- TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP and SANE certifications
