Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physicians during emergency procedures. Monitor vital signs, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and initiate patient education plans. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based on emergency nursing standards and protocols. This 13-week travel assignment in Northampton, Massachusetts requires one year of ER RN experience, valid state licensure, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
