Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritize care based on condition severity, and administer prescribed medications according to emergency protocols. Monitor vital signs, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists to ensure efficient, patient-centered care in a high-volume emergency department. Maintain patient comfort and safety while adhering to infection control guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
