Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on condition severity. Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to life-saving situations per emergency protocols. Document comprehensive assessments and interventions in electronic medical records while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists. Prepare equipment for emergency treatments and explain procedures to patients and families. Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout their stay in the Saint Albans, Vermont emergency department.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
