Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid-response, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Responsibilities include rapidly assessing and triaging patients, explaining procedures to patients and families, administering medications and treatments, preparing equipment and assisting physicians, monitoring patient comfort and safety, documenting assessments and interventions in EMR, initiating patient education plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care in critical situations. Required skills include critical thinking, excellent communication, English literacy, and the ability to operate PC hardware/software; physical ability to perform duties (lifting 50-100lbs, mobility, push/pull, bending); adapt to irregular schedules and high-stress environments; and strong teamwork. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
