Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritize care based on severity, and administer prescribed medications and treatments according to emergency nursing protocols. Monitor vital signs, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and respond to life-saving situations while collaborating with physicians, specialists, and support staff. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, prepare equipment for examinations, and maintain patient safety throughout their stay. Adhere to infection control guidelines and regulatory standards. One year of ER experience, valid RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. 13-week travel assignment in Paducah, Kentucky.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
