Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritize care based on severity, and administer prescribed medications according to emergency protocols. Monitor vital signs, respond to life-saving situations, and document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families while collaborating with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered care. Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the emergency department shift.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
