Job Summary
Assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, administer prescribed medications per protocols, and prepare equipment for physician treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety, respond to life-saving situations, and document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists to ensure efficient, patient-centered care in a critical emergency department setting.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current PALS (AHA / ARC) or ENPC Certification
- Critical thinking
