Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families while administering prescribed medications and treatments per approved protocols. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments, monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout their stay. Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines while working under pressure. Requires one year of recent ER experience, a valid state RN license, and English proficiency. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
