Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity, and administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved protocols. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, monitor comfort and safety, and respond to life-saving situations while documenting comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This 13-week travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine requires one year of recent ER experience and a valid state RN license.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
