Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while explaining emergency procedures to patients and families. Prepare equipment for physicians and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their stay in the emergency department. Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure high-quality, efficient care. Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards, policies, and protocols. This 8-week travel assignment in Burlington, Massachusetts requires recent ER experience, a valid state RN license, and strong critical thinking abilities under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Travel ER RN
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
