Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, administer prescribed medications, and prepare equipment for physicians during treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety while documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. Respond to life-saving situations, initiate patient education plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and specialists. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent ER RN experience, valid state license, and English proficiency. 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts with highly competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
