Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications, prepare equipment for physicians, and monitor patient comfort while documenting assessments in electronic medical records. Respond to life-saving situations, explain emergency procedures to families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and social workers. Adhere to infection control guidelines and regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
