Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications, explain emergency procedures to patients and families, and prepare equipment to aid physicians during treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and initiate individualized education plans. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards, policies, and protocols. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
