Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications, explain emergency procedures to patients and families, and prepare equipment for physicians during treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and respond to life-saving situations per hospital protocols. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain adherence to infection control guidelines and regulatory standards while working under pressure. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
