Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications, explain emergency procedures to patients and families, and prepare equipment for physicians during critical treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety while documenting comprehensive assessments and interventions in electronic medical records. Respond to life-saving situations based on emergency nursing standards and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers. This 12-week assignment in Carlinville, Illinois requires one year of recent ER experience and a valid state license. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
