Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physicians, and respond to life-saving situations per emergency protocols. Monitor patient comfort and safety while documenting comprehensive assessments and interventions in electronic medical records. Initiate individualized patient education plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers. Maintain adherence to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines while working under pressure. This 8-week assignment in Midland, Texas requires recent ER experience and a valid RN license, offering highly competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
