Job Summary

Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications, explain emergency procedures to patients and families, and prepare equipment for physicians during treatments. Monitor patient comfort and safety while documenting comprehensive assessments and interventions in electronic medical records. Respond to life-saving situations based on emergency nursing standards and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers. This 13-week travel assignment requires one year of recent ER RN experience and a valid state license.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as an ER RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Must be able to move about
  • Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
  • Must be able to push

  • Must be able to initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers and other support staff
  • Must be able to adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
