Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families while administering prescribed medications and treatments per approved protocols. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments, monitoring patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the emergency department. Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, paramedics, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
