Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physicians during emergency procedures. Monitor patient comfort and safety, documenting comprehensive assessments and interventions in electronic medical records. Initiate patient education plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers. Respond to life-saving situations based on emergency nursing standards and protocols. This 13-week travel assignment requires one year of recent ER experience and a valid state RN license. Highly competitive pay includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with first-day coverage, plus life and short-term disability. Reimbursement is available for licensure and CEUs.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs
