Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while explaining emergency procedures to patients and families. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments, then monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their stay. Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records, and initiate individualized patient education plans. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Respond to life-saving situations based upon emergency nursing standards and adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent ER RN experience, a valid RN license, and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to travel to Santa Fe, New Mexico for a 13-week assignment
