Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity, while administering prescribed medications and treatments per approved protocols. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, prepare equipment for physicians, and monitor comfort and safety throughout the emergency department stay. Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing standards, document comprehensive assessments and outcomes in electronic medical records, and initiate individualized patient education plans. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards while maintaining high-quality, efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must have the ability to grasp
- Must have the ability to perform fine manipulation
- Must have the ability to push/pull
- Must have the ability to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
