Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency protocols while preparing equipment for physicians. Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs and life-saving situations. Document comprehensive assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, initiating individualized education plans. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines. Requires one year of recent ER experience, valid RN license, and ability to work under pressure. 13-week assignment in Walla Walla, Washington.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
